M. Pochettino remains calm: "We can still reach the final"

On Tuesday the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match was played in London. The Amsterdam team "Ajax" once again showed that this season they are aiming for the highest goals.

Ajax secured a victory in London's Tottenham fortress after Donny van de Beek's precise shot. The Spurs players will now try to bounce back next Wednesday in Amsterdam.

After the match, Mauricio Pochettino admitted that they started the meeting quite tragically, but Moussa Sissoko stepping onto the field changed the pace of the game, allowing the Spurs team to take the initiative in the second half.

"We started the match with the wrong energy. However, we didn't have many options," said M. Pochettino.

"I'm not happy because I know that with a different energy and dedication, we can be different. We conceded a goal simply because we were not physically ready. We can also talk about our overall approach to the match. I am the coach, so I have to take responsibility," continued the Argentine.

Despite the fact that the Tottenham team is heading to Amsterdam, M. Pochettino does not believe that points have already been decided in this pair.

"In the second half, we managed to press the opponents and create opportunities near their goal. The second half was similar to the type of game we want to play. We are still alive. It's only 1-0 to the opponents. We have to believe that we can go there and win by the margin we need," added M. Pochettino.
