Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage matches did not spare praise for his future opponents, Madrid's "Real" team.
On Tuesday evening, London's "Tottenham" will face off against the two-time reigning Champions League champions "Real" club at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium. Pochettino struggled to put into words what it means to play against such an opponent and in front of their fans.
"This club has something special that is impossible to describe in words. You can only feel something when you play against them or in their stadium," Pochettino said.
"If you haven't played against 'Real' at the 'Santiago Bernabeu' stadium, then you haven't been shaken. Last week, I met with Jorge Valdano (former sports director of 'Real') and we talked a lot about what this club means, their fans, and the 'Santiago Bernabeu' stadium.
This is something that you usually can't feel," Pochettino did not spare praise for the opponents.
Pochettino also added a few thoughts about his protege Harry Kane: "He is an exceptional person. Harry is a humble guy with great values. I am very pleased to coach such a player because he makes my life simpler."
