Martas Poomas remains in the London team. A goalkeeper rented out to the English vice champions for half a year agreed to sign a long-term contract.
"I am very pleased that Arsene Wenger and other team coaches believe in me," said M. Poomas. "I am enjoying the time spent here, so I will work even harder in training and strive to get into the first team."
The financial details of the contract are not publicly disclosed, but it is believed that his salary will be significantly lower than the other two team goalkeepers - Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia. Indeed, as the backup for these two players, a veteran from Estonia was acquired.
