19-year-old "Manchester United" forward Marcus Rashford says that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's influence will be reflected in his game for many more years, and described Ibra as "irreplaceable." Although Ibrahimovic's days at "Old Trafford" stadium are likely over after a serious knee injury suffered in the Europa League quarter-final match, the "Red Devils" fans may still see his impact for a long time.
The 35-year-old Ibra will no longer appear on the field this season after the injury, and his contract is expiring this summer. Rashford did not spare kind words about his teammate and thanked him for all the lessons: "You will see his effects for many more years. What he taught me is irreplaceable," said the young English talent.
"His influence on young footballers is fantastic. We want this to continue, as he makes us better players. Now, when I cut inside or go from left to right, I see a different picture than I did last season. There are things I didn't have in me, there were roles in which I didn't feel comfortable, but when there's something different, it takes time to get used to. Improvement has always been successful. Next season I will deal with all the tasks assigned to me," inspired by Ibra's words, Rashford spoke.
The forward also revealed that he looks up to many of his teammates: "When you look at the first-team players, you see footballers who have won 15, 20 trophies. You just try to be as successful as they are and achieve what they have achieved in their career," said Rashford.
