M. Reuss: I would give all my money to be healthy again

A few years ago Marco Reus was hunted by the most famous European clubs, but now the German footballer doesn't even think about playing time - he can't get out of the cycle of injuries.

The 28-year-old footballer suffered a serious knee injury in last season's German Cup final and will not be able to play at least until the beginning of next year. The German has been living a similar life for the past few seasons.

M. Reus revealed that the road to rehabilitation is very difficult and requires immense patience. The footballer mentioned that he would now give all his football earnings to be healthy again.

"Tears started to fall when after two or three days I realized that I would face that difficult road to the football field again", - M. Reus said about the ruthless conclusions of exams heard a few days after the German Cup final.

"Being separated from others and working only with myself is the most difficult part of the whole rehabilitation process. After three weeks, all of this already bored me. It is a ruthless psychological test that requires self-work.

We, as top-class players, earn huge amounts of money, but sometimes they have no value when it comes to our health. I would give all my money to be healthy again, to be able to do what I love: play football", - added M. Reus.
