Even without their leader, the Egyptians advanced to the next stage, where they will continue, at least for now, without the "Liverpool" star.

M. Salah himself returned to Liverpool this week to start his rehabilitation. However, the player himself does not lose hope of returning to the national team if they make it to the semifinals or final.

"I have already started rehabilitation and hope to return to the pitch as soon as possible. I want to rejoin the national team as soon as possible, as agreed from the very beginning," wrote M. Salah on his social media account.
