Georginio Wijnaldum secured Liverpool's victory in the 84th minute. The consolation goal for the "Hammers" was scored by Craig Dawson in the 87th minute. Liverpool is now just a few points behind the second-placed Manchester United after this win.
In other matches, the Leicester footballers suffered a somewhat unexpected home defeat, losing 1:3 to the Leeds team.
