The 25th round of the Italian championship started yesterday with a victory of Rome's "Lazio" against Verona's "Hellas", and today another capital club "Roma" defeated once again the team of "Carpi" in the relegation zone.
Although Luciano Spalletti's team were the favorites of this match, the "giallorossi" only managed to secure three points on their account with difficulty.
In the second half of the match, "Roma" had a one-goal lead thanks to defender Lucas Digne, but just five minutes after the Frenchman's goal, Kevin Lasagna equalized the result.
For the remaining half hour, the visitors continued to press their opponents, but they only managed to break their defense in the 84th minute, when Edin Dzeko scored after a precise pass from Mohamed Salah.
A few moments later, Salah himself scored a goal, securing the victory for the "giallorossi" against the newcomers of "Serie A". The three points won allowed the victors to temporarily rise to third place, which can be taken over on Sunday by one of the teams playing between Florence's "Fiorentina" and Milan's "Inter".
Result:
"Carpi" 1 - 3 "Roma" [0-1] 56' Lucas Digne [1-1] 61' Kevin Lasagna [1-2] 84' Edin Dzeko [1-3] 85' Mohamed Salah
