It seems that the drama between Mohamed Salah and Sergio Ramos will not end soon. Everything started in the Champions League final, when S. Ramos brought down M. Salah and injured his shoulder, leading to his substitution.
The Egyptian not only did not finish the final but also raised doubts whether he could play in the World Cup. After the final, a real war of words began. When reports emerged that S. Ramos also injured Loris Karius, the Spaniard suggested that maybe Roberto Firmino caught the flu when he hugged him?
Prior to this, S. Ramos claimed to have communicated with M. Salah through messages and the Egyptian told him he was fine. S. Ramos also said that the footballer could have played with painkillers. It was this last statement that amused M. Salah.
"I always thought everything was fine, that when the person who made you cry makes a joke on you. Maybe he could tell me if I am ready for the World Cup," Salah joked.
"It's funny. He sent me a message, but I never told him everything was fine. Yes, it really was," Salah replied when asked if leaving the final earlier was the worst moment of his career.
"When I fell to the ground, I had many different feelings: physical pain, a lot of anxiety. I also felt anger and sadness because I couldn't continue in the Champions League final. A few moments later, I thought that I could miss the World Cup as well, and that broke me," added the Egyptian.
"Now I feel better. I hope to play in the first match against Uruguay, but it will depend on how I feel before the game."
