The 25-year-old player surpassed his teammate Sadio Mane, with „Borussia“ representative Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finishing in third place.
Salah demonstrated impressive form last year: while playing for the „Roma“ club, he scored 15 goals and made 11 assists, helping the team to second place in the „Serie A“ championship.
