„Liverpool“ forward Mohamed Salah was named the best African footballer of 2017.
The 25-year-old player surpassed his teammate Sadio Mane, with „Borussia“ representative Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finishing in third place.
Salah demonstrated impressive form last year: while playing for the „Roma“ club, he scored 15 goals and made 11 assists, helping the team to second place in the „Serie A“ championship. Even more remarkable was his performance after moving to „Liverpool“ in the summer, where he already scored 23 goals in 29 matches.
Moreover, at the beginning of 2017, the Egyptian helped his national team reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, and later helped his national team qualify for the World Cup.
