Maurizio Sarri in the English Premier League had to accept another painful failure - London's Chelsea team was defeated by Liverpool's Everton players.
Chelsea had the opportunity to rise to fourth place before the national team break, but in the match against Everton they couldn't even get a point - the Toffees celebrated a 2-0 victory.
After the match, M. Sarri criticized not only the defensive game, but also the offense. Gonzalo Higuain was called up to the team in winter, but so far he has not contributed strongly to the team's victories - scoring only three goals in over 10 matches.
"At the moment, he is having problems in front of goal. Against Everton, he had a few good chances. He can use them better," admitted M. Sarri.
"At the beginning of the week, he had some stomach pain. I decided he would play 60-65 minutes. He needs to improve both physically and psychologically," continued the strategist.
When briefly asked about the match itself, M. Sarri replied: "I don't know what happened, because we played very well in the first half. It was probably the best 45 minutes of the season. In the second half, we stopped playing and defending. I am concerned about the second half."
