Chelsea strategist Maurizio Sarri joked that the upcoming match against Liverpool is of "live or die" importance.
On Sunday, the Chelsea team from London lost their first points in the English championship by playing a draw with West Ham. This allowed the Liverpool team to become sole leaders of the tournament table.
After the match, the Chelsea strategist spoke: "West Ham, after their victory against Everton, started to show a better game, we had to share the ball better and do everything faster."
Sarri laughed at the statement that the next match against Liverpool will be crucial: "It's funny, Liverpool, coached by Jurgen Klopp, shows a fantastic game. The German has been coaching the team for the third season, we gathered the whole team for the first time just before 35 or 40 days.
I think it's too early for us to think like that. We have to work. Maybe after a year we will be at the same level as Liverpool."
