London's "Chelsea" manager Maurizio Sarri indirectly confirmed that Daniel Drinkwater and Victor Moses may have to look for a new team this winter.
V. Moses was a key player in Antonio Conte's system, and 35 million pounds sterling was paid for D. Drinkwater a year ago, but the footballer has not been able to break into the starting lineup under either A. Conte or M. Sarri.
"The situation with Drinkwater is that he is not suitable to play with the two defensive midfielders we have in the starting lineup. I told him my thoughts on this situation two months ago," the manager said.
"Moses is more suited to play as a wing-back with three central defenders rather than as a winger or a fullback. I don't know about their future. They need to improve, but their style of play is slightly different from what I need," added the Italian.
Asked about team rotation, M. Sarri replied: "By this stage of the season, we have already used 26 players, but I don't know what will happen in the future. The situation in the Premier League is more or less clear, but I have to balance the team for other competitions."
