During the last moments of the transfer window, Moussa Sissoko, who moved to London's "Tottenham", wrote an emotional farewell to the "Newcastle United" fans.
The Frenchman, who cost 30 million pounds sterling, insists that the move to a stronger club was necessary for him.
Since 2013, the 27-year-old midfielder has played more than 130 matches in the ranks of the "Magpies", scoring 12 goals.
"As you know, I will start a new adventure," Sissoko wrote on Instagram.
"Despite the difficulties, I decided to join Tottenham. This choice was necessary and I needed a new challenge."
"Although I know this decision may disappoint and upset Newcastle fans, I want them to know that I never forget them."
"I always played for them and the club with heart. I enjoyed the atmosphere at St. James Park in every match. I liked living in Newcastle and found warmth here, which is a contrast to the cold of Northern England."
"This warmth, created by the fans, often warmed my heart when I was far from friends and family. There were both good and bad moments."
"The downfall was really painful for the whole city. However, this city's heart beats for this club, and I have no doubt that it will return to the highest level very quickly. It deserves it."
"Personally, these three years in the NUFC ranks will remain unforgettable. I truly never forget them. It will always be in my heart and a part of me. Thank you all!"
