Former "Liverpool" defender Mohamed Sissoko believes that Madrid's "Real" could knock on Sadio Mane's door.
When asked about the possibility of Mohamed Salah moving to "Real", M. Sissoko replied that a more realistic scenario for this team would be to develop S. Mane.
"I see Mane more in 'Real' than Salah," M. Sissoko said in an interview with "EuropaCalcio.it". "He has qualities that Zidane likes. I think developing Mane in the 'Real' team is completely realistic."
The former Malian footballer added that the loss of M. Salah would not be as painful for the "Liverpool" team as it might seem now.
"I don't know if Salah will stay in the Liverpool team, but if he decides to leave, I think it could benefit the team. The Liverpool management behaves wisely and would easily find a replacement for him," added M. Sissoko.
M. Sissoko's comments about Z. Zidane's desire to coach S. Mane are not made out of thin air - before stepping down from the "Real" coaching position in the summer of 2018, Z. Zidane had chosen the Senegalese as his main target for that summer.
However, the situation is now much more complicated - S. Mane signed a new long-term contract with "Liverpool" at the end of 2018.
