The average club of the German "Bundesliga" has extended the contract with defender Michael Tarnat for another year - until the summer of 2008. 37-year-old M. Tarnat is the oldest player in the "Bundesliga".

The left-back defender arrived in Hanover in the summer of 2004 and scored 6 goals in 65 matches.

Michael Tarnat began his career in 1990 at the "Duisburg" club, then played for "Karlsruher", and the best years of his career were from 1997 to 2003 representing Munich's "Bayern", with whom the defender became a German champion three times and won the Champions League in 2001. M. Tarnat played 19 matches for the German national team.
