M. Upsonas: "Arsenal" truly hopes to keep Sanchez

In the past, according to former London Arsenal defender Matthew Upson, the fact that the club has not yet sold their leader Alexis Sanchez means they believe in their ability to keep him.

The Chilean national team player's contract with the Gunners expires next summer, so it is not surprising that the media has been buzzing with speculation about his future in recent months.

City forward is very interested in Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, but Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger remains firm and insists that the 28-year-old player will not go anywhere.

"I think that for them to say goodbye to him until they have to do it for a dime, something important has to happen," Upson told Radio 5Live.

"Arsene Wenger and the club are looking at it and thinking, 'We can keep him in the club.'

"Nothing has been decided yet."

"However, you just feel that in those moments when there is some action and someone tries harder to buy him, it will be very difficult for Arsenal to keep him."

The capital club's strategist hopes that Sanchez, who has received an extended vacation, will join the Gunners' training sessions in the near future, but he recently announced on the social network Instagram that he is sick.
