Security guard at Munich Mark van Bommel apologized to the spectators gathered at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium in Madrid for indecent gestures made after scoring a goal in Tuesday's Champions League match.
The footballer stated that his reaction was caused by arguments during the match with some players from the Real Madrid team.
"I would like to apologize to the fans of the Real team - I have nothing against them, unlike some players," the player commented on his behavior in the interview, representing Barcelona last season and winning the Spanish league and the Champions League with them.
Madrid's Real captain Raul and forward Ruud van Nistelrooy stated that M. van Bommel apologized to them for his gestures, but the Spanish club's goalkeeper Iker Casillas advised the Dutchman to control himself more on the field.
"You can do whatever you want in the dressing room, but you should know how to behave on the field," said the Royal club's goalkeeper.
