M. Verratti extends contract with PSG in the spotlight of the Spanish giants

Paris Saint-Germain announced on their official website that 23-year-old Italian national team midfielder Marco Verratti has extended his contract for another year.

According to the new agreement, M. Verratti should remain in the French capital until the summer of 2020. The talented midfielder from Italy is one of the most important players in the PSG team, so the French are determined to keep him at all costs.

There have been rumors in the media for some time that the footballer is being pursued by Real Madrid and Barcelona. Several Premier League clubs in England are also interested in him, but after renewing his contract, the Italian has temporarily put an end to speculation about his future.

"I am very happy to extend my contract with PSG," said M. Verratti. "I would like to thank the club and its employees for the trust they have shown in me since my arrival."

"I love this city and this team. I will continue to give my all for this club and the fans. With the help of my teammates, I hope to make PSG the strongest team in Europe," added the midfielder.

M. Verratti joined Saint-Germain in 2012. In total, he has already appeared on the pitch 149 times and scored three goals.
