Despite the rumors circulating in the media linking him with a move to "Barcelona," "Paris Saint-Germain" midfielder Marco Verratti insists that his current club is his dream team.
Speculations intensified even more before the Champions League quarter-final matchup between the two teams, and the Italian was often compared to "Barca" legend Xavi.
However, after PSG's recent triumph with a 4-0 result, it seems unlikely that the 24-year-old footballer would want to join their struggling rivals.
"I want to say something now. I didn't want to say anything before the match, but there is a report claiming that I said I wanted to play for 'Barcelona,'" Verratti said after the game.
"I never said that. You know my dream. My dream is to win here, in Paris. Even if we had lost to 'Barcelona' last night, I wouldn't have changed my mind - I believe in the club and the project."
"When you are a big part of a project, it makes you feel important. If I win here, it will be a different feeling than winning anywhere else."
