"Chelsea" from London can soon buy a defensive line costing 300 million euros. Journalist Fabrizio Romano announces that the London club is in advanced negotiations with RB Leipzig club to acquire center-back Josko Gvardiol. The center-back from Croatia would remain in the Leipzig team for another year (on loan basis) and move to Chelsea only in 2023. Chelsea could pay up to 90 million euros for J. Gvardiol.

Soon, Wesley Fofana, who cost "aristocrats" 82.5 million euros, should also be officially unveiled. J. Gvardiol scored 3 goals and made 2 assists in the Bundesliga in the last two seasons. The Croatian feels very comfortable on the left side of a three-center-back system, so he could be ideal for Tuchel's tactics.
