Madrid clubs achieve their goal - FIFA postpones transfer ban

Madrid clubs' appeals forced FIFA to temporarily suspend the imposed disqualification in the upcoming player transfer windows. On January 14th, FIFA announced that Madrid clubs "Real" and "Atletico" are prohibited from buying players this summer and next winter. The statement claims that the teams from the Spanish capital violated the rules by acquiring underage footballers. Both clubs were allowed to sign players in the January transfer window, but they did not take any decisive action. After the appeals were filed, FIFA had to postpone its decision. It seems that both Madrid clubs managed to buy time through the appeals - both "Real" and "Atletico" will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming summer transfer window, but the punishment should remain for the other two transfer windows. Similarly, the "Barcelona" club had its punishment postponed in the same way.
