Madrid's "Atletico" defender Koke attracted the attention of major European clubs after a successful season in the Spanish capital.
Invited to the country's national team, which is heading to the World Championship in Brazil, the 22-year-old Spaniard caught the eye of London's "Chelsea" and "Barcelona" clubs.
It is speculated that the Catalan team will seek to replace Cesc Fabregas, who, according to rumors, may leave the "Barcelona" team.
Meanwhile, in Jose Mourinho's London "Chelsea" team, there will be gaps in the defense after the season as veteran Frank Lampard is likely to move on to play in the USA. Koke is one of the main contenders to replace the 35-year-old Englishman.
However, luring the Spaniard to their ranks may be a challenging task for both the London and Barcelona teams, as Koke recently extended his contract with "Atletico" until 2018, and he himself has stated that he is satisfied with the Madrid club.
Last season, Koke scored 7 goals and provided 14 assists for his teammates in the country's "Primera" championship.
