Real Madrid club may finish the 2019-20 season at a different stadium. Marca reports that the capital club is seriously considering the possibility of appealing to the Spanish Football Federation to play the remaining matches of the season at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.
This is a stadium built for Real's second team (Castilla). Since the likelihood of fans being able to enter the stadium is minimal, Real Madrid has decided to expedite the reconstruction work on the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. So far, work has been done from the outside, and now the stadium roof is being dismantled. If fans cannot return to the stadiums, it will allow Real Madrid to complete planned renovations much faster.
The completion of the over 500 million euro project was scheduled for 2023. Now, with football not taking place, the process could be shortened to even a year.
