The group stage of the new format UEFA Champions League has concluded, which can be considered a sort of regular season. Now teams will clarify their relationships based on the knockout stage principle. The first stage helped to preliminarily identify the sporting form of the teams, which in turn allows for the labeling of favorites, something that foreign casinos have been doing for some time now.

This article will delve deeper into this topic. We will describe the teams that have the greatest chances of lifting the winner's trophy at the end of this season. This information will be truly valuable if you are interested in long-term football betting.

“Liverpool”. It probably won’t come as a surprise that the list begins with the “Liverpool” team. Midway through last season, it was unexpectedly announced that the team would part ways with head coach Jurgen Klopp after many years of work. At that time, many experts speculated that “Liverpool” might fall and even fail to finish among the top four English teams. However, this team silences its critics. The new team's coach, Arne Slot, is doing an excellent job, which has resulted in “Liverpool” firmly leading the English Premier League, as well as securing first place in the first stage of the Champions League. Veteran Mo Salah from Egypt continues to lead “Liverpool” forward. The team also boasts a remarkable defense. Of course, in football, many things are determined by details, but it seems that this “Liverpool” team essentially has everything it needs to fight for titles.

“Barcelona”. Catalonia’s pride is somewhat of a curiosity this season. The team is still grappling with financial problems. Because of this, they sometimes struggle to register all players, but their on-field performance looks really good. “Barcelona” started the season excellently and led the local championship for a long time, but eventually hit a slump and began dropping points against relatively weak opponents. Despite that, “Barcelona” simply dominates against their main rivals, Madrid’s “Real” – at one point, the current national champions were defeated away with a crushing score, and the “Barcelona” players also won the national Super Cup with a significant score. In the Champions League, “Barcelona” started with a loss but ultimately racked up one victory after another and came very close to taking first place. On the surface, this team does not seem invincible, but when it’s their day, Hansi Flick’s trained club appears hard to stop.

Madrid “Real”. The current Champions League champions are gradually finding their rhythm, but overall, they have had a rather uneven season. Nevertheless, this team has repeatedly proven that it shows its champion character exactly when it is most needed. Last year, “Real” managed to attract long-time leader of the French national team Kylian Mbappe to the squad, who was the only missing piece for the team. Now “Real”'s attacking line appears hard to contain. In the local championship, “Real” is already a leader, but they got off to a bit of a rocky start in the Champions League, which ultimately meant that Carlo Ancelotti’s team would have to start from the first knockout stage. Interestingly, there they will face a very serious opponent – a significantly struggling but incredibly talented “Manchester City” team this season.

Munich “Bayern”. The German giants took a painful hit last year and finished second after many years of dominance in the local championship. It seems that the Bavarians have taken the necessary lessons and appear much more confident this season. “Bayern” is firmly leading in the German championship and seems not to be planning to lose any ground there, while also showing stable results in the Champions League. Of course, “Bayern” has hit a few small bumps, but this is completely normal as the team changed coaches just last season. Perhaps “Bayern” winning the Champions League could be seen as a minor surprise, but it would not be a sensation by any means.

Teams also worth mentioning: London “Arsenal”, “Manchester City”, Madrid “Atletico”.
