Malcolm: "I was very happy in Barcelona"

Just after spending a season with "Barcelona" team, Brazilian Malcom, who this summer was bought out for about 40 million euros, went to play for the "Zenit" club in Saint Petersburg.

The 22-year-old Brazilian, speaking to "Goal," assured that he was completely dedicated to the Catalan team, but had to accept the offer from "Zenit."

"In Barcelona, I tried to show everything I could. In such a club, you always have to be ready. Whenever I was given a chance, I gave my maximum on the field."

"Football is like that, and you have to take advantage of opportunities. "Zenit" showed great interest in me and made a good offer.

"I was very happy in Barcelona, but I am sure that I will be just as happy playing for the "Zenit" team," Malcom confirmed.

The Brazilian also didn't hesitate to praise his former teammate Lionel Messi.

"Messi is an exceptional footballer, a great teammate, and an amazing person. He shows respect to everyone and our relationship was very good. He deserves everything he has achieved," added the Brazilian.
