The coach of Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, did not rush to criticize his team after an unconvincing performance in the friendly "Trofeo TIM" tournament.
In the friendly tournament of three teams, the Italian champions lost 0-1 to Milan and beat the Sassuolo team with the same result, ending up in second place.
After the match, M. Allegri admitted that Juventus' game has not reached its peak yet, but the team is moving in the right direction.
"After returning from the tour in Asia, we worked hard in training, but there is still room for improvement," the coach's words are quoted by "Sport Mediaset". "In the match against Milan, we created several scoring opportunities and missed a goal that we could have avoided. Although we are far from reaching our optimal athletic form, we are moving in the right direction."
The coach also rejoiced at Arturo Vidal's return to the field. The Chilean had not played a single match since the knee surgery before the World Cup.
"His return to the team is fundamental. These were his first 45 minutes in this season," noted the Italian.
When asked about Juventus' plans in the transfer market, M. Allegri replied: "I maintain constant communication with the club and have full confidence in their work. I know very well that if the opportunity arises to strengthen the team, Juventus will take advantage of it."
