At the end of last season, Turin's "Juventus" head coach Massimo Allegri considered resigning after a disastrous 1:4 loss in the UEFA Champions League final against Madrid's "Real".
Eventually, the Italian decided to stay and now, it seems, he does not regret this decision.
"I asked myself: is this the end of the road? Is this the most I can lead the team to?
The next morning I had no doubts. I went to the office at 7 o'clock and drank coffee.
I told myself: a new season and new opportunities are waiting," Allegri insisted.
Indeed, during the off-season, the composition of "Juventus" changed significantly: players like Dani Alves or Leonardo Bonucci left, but Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi joined.
Allegri assures that the changes will not alter the plans of the "Old Lady":
"Of course, we can have a good season and perform strongly in the UEFA Champions League tournament. We just have to continue the work we started. We will try again to open 'La Scala' - the positive thing about opera is that a new program is presented every year."
