Ekipos and Uruguay's national team forward Fernando Correa has been disqualified for one year. Today, FIFA announced that traces of cocaine were found in the player's body after a doping test.

This 30-year-old striker was tested following this year's March 31st World Cup qualification match between the Uruguay and Venezuela national teams, which was won by the latter. The disqualification will be backdated to March 13th of this year. However, Correa can still appeal, although he himself claims he will waive this possibility.

This step has greatly surprised the "Mallorca" club: "We were expecting a six-month disqualification. A one-year disqualification is too much," said "Mallorca" president Mateo Alemany.
