"Man City" aims to attract Pepe

In Portugal the newspaper "A Bola" reports that "Manchester City" is still interested in Real Madrid's defender Pepe. The 31-year-old Portuguese player was already of interest to the English champions last summer, but Carlo Ancelotti refused to sell the experienced defender and "Man City" chose Eliaquim Mangala instead. However, Manuel Pellegrini is not satisfied with the French player's performance and is willing to pay up to 30 million euros for Pepe after the season. It is also possible that after the season Martin Demichelis could leave the team, and last season's standout Matija Nastasic has not lived up to the team's expectations. Pepe is still showing excellent form and has scored one goal in 11 matches played this season.
