In February, the "Manchester City" club faced a strict punishment from UEFA for financial and licensing violations committed from 2012 to 2016. The English champions were handed a two-year ban from UEFA competitions and a €30 million fine. The "Man City" officials immediately denied and did not hide such accusations, stating that they would appeal to a higher court and seek to have the ban lifted or at least reduced. The fate of the Manchester club should be clarified on June 8-10, when the case will be heard in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
