"Man City" crushes "Leicester" at home after a tough battle (VIDEO)

On Saturday, the 37th round matches of the English Premier League continue.

At 14:30 Lithuanian time, "Manchester City" and "Leicester" clashed weapons at the "Etihad" stadium. Despite having a two-goal advantage, the "cityzens" defeated the "foxes" only after a tough battle.

In the 29th minute, David Silva put the hosts ahead after a pass from Leroy Sane. However, there were doubts about the goal as Raheem Sterling was offside when the ball passed through his raised leg.

After the goal, the "cityzens" did not reduce their attacks and in the 36th minute scored a second goal. L. Sane was wrongly brought down in the penalty area, leading to a penalty kick which was successfully converted by Gabriel Jesus.

Nevertheless, "Leicester" did not give up and in the 42nd minute scored a goal that narrowed the gap. Shinji Okazaki scored a beautiful goal with one touch after a great pass from Marco Albrighton.

The "foxes" entered the second half with the aim of equalizing the score - this was clear from the first few minutes. In the 77th minute, the visitors from Leicester had a great opportunity to equalize from the penalty spot.

A penalty kick was awarded to "Leicester," which Riyad Mahrez was set to take. The Algerian sent the ball accurately into the goal, but the referee disallowed the goal as the forward slipped slightly and touched the ball with both feet before taking the shot.

In the remaining time, "Man City" successfully defended and secured a crucial victory in the battle for a spot in the UEFA Champions League.

With two rounds left to play, "City" climbed to third place with 72 points. "Leicester" settled for ninth place.
