During Sunday evening's Premier League match, Manchester City defeated Aston Villa at home with a score of 3:1.
The "Cityzens" took care of all the business in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Rodri scored a header, in the 39th minute Ilkay Gundogan put the ball into the net after a pass from Erling Haaland, and in the 45+1 minute, Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty kick.
Aston Villa managed to narrow the gap in the second half after Ollie Watkins scored a goal for the visitors.
After this match, Pep Guardiola's proteges reclaim the second position on the tournament table. They are 3 points behind the leaders, Arsenal, although the "Gunners" have played one game less.
