"Manchester City" forward Steven Jovetic was left hurt and disappointed by the decision of the team's manager Manuel Pellegrini to remove him from the UEFA Champions League player list.
This season, the 25-year-old footballer has appeared in the starting lineup in several matches, but his successful season is likely to be hindered by Wilfried Bony, who was purchased for 38 million euros in January and included in the Champions League squad.
"I deserve to play in the Champions League. I really know that," the Montenegrin told "Sunday Mirror".
"The coach is killing me with this decision. I feel like I deserve a place in the team and other people agree with that. They said I am a great player, but the coach doesn't see it.
I am very disappointed. I don't think it was a good or fair decision. I deserved to be on the list and I talked to Pellegrini about it, but he doesn't even want to listen to me," the forward concluded.
This season, S.Jovetic played 16 matches for the "Citizens" and scored five goals.
