"Man City" once again surpassed "Tottenham" and returned to the top position

On Saturday afternoon the first match of the 35th round of the English Premier League took place, which was full of intrigue.

At home, "Manchester City" once again welcomed the team from London, "Tottenham". After recovering from their Champions League exit, the "Man City" team tried to bounce back in the local championship and again defeated "Spurs", but this time the taste of victory was much sweeter.

The beginning of the match promised a rain of goals, but nothing similar to Wednesday's match happened - both teams defended quite well and only one goal decided the winner.

In the 5th minute, the winning goal was scored by Phil Foden, who scored for the first time in the Premier League and unexpectedly appeared in the starting lineup. The young Englishman scored from a few meters after a brilliant pass from Sergio Aguero.

In the second half, "Spurs" were more lively, but Ederson made sure that the "City" team would not leave the stadium with their heads down once again.

After the victory, "Man City" returned to the first position. "Tottenham" remained in third place, but they could be overtaken by the other two teams below them.

Result:

"Manchester City" 1 - 0 "Tottenham" 5' [1 - 0] P. Foden
