In a snowy match, the leader "Man City" achieved another victory by defeating London's "Fulham" 3-0 at home.
Sergio Aguero scored from the penalty spot to give "Man City" the lead after Chris Baird brought down Adam Johnson in the penalty area.
The same Baird later scored an own goal, and Edin Dzeko sealed the victory for the opponents in the 72nd minute.
London's "Arsenal" club secured an impressive victory at home, humiliating "Blackburn" 7-1, who are currently second to last in the league.
Robin van Persie, in great sporting form, scored three goals for the winners, while 18-year-old talent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored two, and Mikel Arteta and legendary Thierry Henry each scored one.
The hosts took an early lead, but couldn't expect an easy fight as Morten Gamst Pedersen equalized with a penalty kick.
However, before halftime, the 'gunners' gained a two-goal advantage, and "Blackburn" found themselves at a disadvantage after defender Gael Givet was sent off for a rough attempt to tackle the ball with both feet. Interestingly, upon leaving the field, the player apologized to the opponent's coach Arsene Wenger.
Therefore, the second half was a formality: "Arsenal" didn't show mercy to their opponents and scored four more goals, pushing the opponents to last place in the league based on goals conceded.
