"Manchester City" looks to the future - the "citizens" have signed a five-year contract with talented Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The 19-year-old footballer has been playing for the main "Vasco da Gama" team since 2016. The midfielder was quickly noticed by the biggest European clubs and "Man City" won the race for his signature.
"Man City" sporting director Txiki Begiristain spoke about the team's latest acquisition: "We are eagerly awaiting Douglas. He is a promising and talented player. Everyone in the club is ready to help him adapt and have all the opportunities to improve as a footballer."
Playing in the defensive and central midfielder position, D. Luiz managed to play 39 matches and score five goals for "Vasco da Gama" team.
It is almost certain that this season the young Brazilian will be loaned to another European team.
