The "City" team broke through in the 7th minute when Manchester United defender Eric Bailly directed the ball into his own goal. Bernardo Silva doubled City's advantage at the end of the first half. The visitors could have created a much bigger lead in the first half, but Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea miraculously saved his team several times. In the second half, Manchester City did not allow the hosts to think about a comeback and secured a comfortable victory."
