"Manchester United" reached an agreement with "Southampton" for the transfer of midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, Goal.com reports.
The Frenchman underwent a medical examination yesterday and should be officially announced in the near future.
The 25-year-old footballer was also of interest to London's "Arsenal" and "Tottenham", but in the battle for Schneiderlin, the "Red Devils" triumphed.
Interestingly, last year the Frenchman himself requested to be released to the "Gunners" team, but his wish was not granted at that time.
The midfielder will become the fourth summer signing for "United" and will join Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Last season, Schneiderlin scored four goals in 26 appearances.
