"Man United" broke the plan to keep D. De Gea

"Manchester United" goalkeeper David De Gea has been linked with a move to Madrid's "Real" for several years now, but the "Red Devils" have come up with a plan to try to keep the Spaniard within their ranks.

According to the English newspaper "Daily Star", the Manchester club intends to offer the 27-year-old player a new contract that would see him earn up to £350,000 per week.

Such impressive earnings would not only make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world, but also one of the highest-paid players overall.

De Gea arrived in England in 2011 after leaving Madrid's "Atletico". His current contract with "Man United" is valid until 2019, but it includes an option to extend the collaboration for another season.
