Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane confirmed that this summer he was tried to be purchased by Manchester United.
The new strategist of the "Red Devils" is very impressed by the Frenchman's game, which he himself attracted to the "Royal" club in 2011.
The 23-year-old football player admitted that rejecting the Portuguese offer was difficult.
"Of course, it's great. Manchester United is a very big club. However, at the moment, as long as I am satisfied with the Madrid project, I don't ask myself any questions," Varane told Canal+.
"I always said that I feel good in Madrid. Saying 'no' to Jose Mourinho is not easy, but you have to weigh the pros and cons. We are humans, we must make decisions and that's just the way it is."
Last season, Varane played 33 matches in the ranks of Real Madrid.
