"Man Utd" are considering additions - Rodriguez, Baines, Bale and others in sight © EuroFootball.com

Alex Ferguson is convinced that with focused work this offseason, "Man Utd" will be able to strengthen the team with desired footballers.

The 'Red Devils' reclaimed the title of English champions, but exited early from the Champions League and national cup tournaments.

"We don't have as much money as "Chelsea" or "Man City", but we are competitive in the market," said Ferguson. "I hope that the players we acquire will strengthen the team. We have been working actively in this direction for three or four months."

He added: "We need to consider the current team structure, where even fifteen main players are younger than 23. Older players, such as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, or Rio Ferdinand, are nearing the end of their careers, but the gaps will be filled by the youth. I really want the young footballers, who have not had the opportunity to shine yet, to understand the importance of their contribution."

It is rumored that attacking "Porto" midfielder James Rodriguez, London "Tottenham" star Gareth Bale, Dortmund "Borussia" forward Robert Lewandowski, and Liverpool "Everton" full-back Leighton Baines are on "Man Utd's" radar.
