It seems that Chris Smalling will no longer return to "Manchester United".
The 29-year-old central defender, who joined the "Roma" team on loan basis in the summer, did not disappoint the club officials and they are already ready to acquire all the rights to the player.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, "Roma" is ready to offer a €10 million bid, although "Manchester United" values the Englishman at €20 million.
"Roma" sporting director Gianluca Petrachi mentioned that such a possibility exists.
"If Chris wants to stay here, we will definitely talk to Man Utd. Both clubs have excellent relations, so if there is any opportunity, we will definitely consider it", said Petrachi.
This season, C. Smalling has already played 7 matches for "Roma" and scored one goal.
