In the second half, the game was evenly matched, but the hosts scored the winning goal. In the 75th minute, after a substitution in the field, Jesse Lingard appeared in the box and scored with a header from R. Lukaku's pass, putting the hosts ahead for the first time in this match.
Chelsea did not find any antidote against the solid Man Utd defense in the remaining time, and the match ended with the Red Devils' victory 2-1.
Man Utd moved back to the second place after the win, while Chelsea dropped to the fifth position, conceding to Tottenham in the top four.
In other matches where London Tottenham clashed with Crystal Palace, Spurs achieved a minimal victory in the last minutes. In the 88th minute, a precise header by Harry Kane led the visitors into the lead.
