The famous English football club "Manchester United" on Saturday released a statement that Russian fans who bought tickets for the UEFA Europa League match against Odesa's "Zaria" team through the English team's distribution service are unwanted and their tickets are canceled.
Therefore, the match between "Manchester United" and "Zaria" football players in Odesa on December 8 will take place without Russian fans, lrytas.lt reports.
"Due to the current political situation and possible problems related to your safety, the state organizing the match recommended us not to sell tickets to Russian citizens," the statement from "Manchester United" addressed to Russian-speaking team fans reads. "Therefore, we cancel them and will reimburse all expenses related to ticket purchase.
The funds will be refunded to your accounts within five days."
It is reported that about 300 Russians, who are fans of "Manchester United", bought tickets for this match.
