The possibility of making an £8 million offer for goalkeeper Craig Gordon of the Edinburgh team is being considered, BBC reports.

Interest in the Scot is also shown by Birmingham, whose coach Martin O'Neill watched the last "Hearts" match in the Scottish championship against "Kilmarnock" from the stands.

The 24-year-old footballer, currently serving as captain of the Edinburgh team, was sought by several English Premier League clubs back in January, but none of them managed to agree on the transfer fee. That same month, C. Gordon rejected the opportunity to move to Moscow's "Spartak".

It is worth noting that on Friday "Hearts" assistant coach Stephen Frail valued the goalkeeper at £10 million.
