"Reports have appeared in the English press that Manchester United are close to an agreement with Barcelona's right-back Dani Alves.
According to the Daily Express, Louis van Gaal is convinced that he will manage to attract the Brazilian, who will not cost the 'Red Devils' a single euro.
Alves' contract with the Catalans ends this summer, and the defender is prepared to change clubs. However, Barcelona may still try to extend the agreement with the player for at least a year, as until the summer of 2016 they cannot buy new players.
Brazilian Alves, who arrived at Barcelona in 2008, played 22 matches this season and is irreplaceable in the right defensive flank."
