On Sunday, two more matches of the 34th round were played in the English Premier League.
The first clash took place at Turf Moor stadium, where Burnley welcomed Manchester United players. Despite injuries, the "Red Devils" club achieved victory with a score of 2-0.
In the 21st minute, Anthony Martial scored after a precise pass from Ander Herrera, giving the visitors the lead, and in the 39th minute, the advantage was increased to two goals by the team captain Wayne Rooney, who returned to the starting lineup.
In the second half, the hosts could not offer anything to the "Man Utd" team, which confidently ended the game. Burnley did not make any shots on target.
After the victory, "Man Utd" approached the fourth-placed Manchester City by one point.
In other matches, Liverpool once again received a painful lesson from the long-time outsider Crystal Palace. Jurgen Klopp's team had to acknowledge the superiority of the London team with a score of 1-2.
In the 24th minute, Philippe Coutinho scored a penalty kick to put the "Reds" ahead. However, Crystal Palace managed to equalize before the end of the first half - Christian Benteke scored after a great pass from Yohan Cabaye.
The same C. Benteke defeated Simon Mignolet again in the 74th minute and punished his former team with a double, which suffered the sixth defeat this season.
Liverpool remains in third place with 66 points, but the Manchester clubs behind them have played two fewer games and could push the "Reds" down to fifth place.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace made a big leap forward - rising to 12th place.
