On Monday evening, intriguing English Premier League 26th round match took place at Stamford Bridge stadium.
London's Chelsea met Manchester United team for the third time this season. Two goals with the head decided another victory for the Red Devils.
Manchester United celebrated victory twice in the Premier League, and Chelsea was defeated in the English League Cup as well.
Chelsea footballers started the match well, but at the end of the first half, Anthony Martial, after a perfect pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, saddened the Blues fans.
In the second half, control belonged to the Man United team. Harry Maguire secured the victory in the 66th minute with a header.
Chelsea sent the ball into the goal twice in the second half, but VAR intervened both times - first, a foul on Brandon Williams was detected, and later from an offside position, Olivier Giroud scored.
Both teams hit the goal construction in the second half - Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes almost identically sent the ball to the right goalpost with penalty kicks.
For Man United, this was the first victory after three unsuccessful performances in a row. They rose to the 7th position and reduced the gap with Chelsea, still in the 4th position, to 3 points.
Chelsea's eleven has not won in four consecutive matches and in the next round may lose their position in the top four.
