At 17 o'clock, four more matches of the 3rd round were played in the English Premier League.
At "Old Trafford" stadium, Manchester United clashed with the winless so far London team Crystal Palace. Just before the added time, the "Red Devils" equalized the score but fell at the very end of the match.
Starting the season with a loud victory, Man Utd players had to cope with their first failure in the league, pushing them down to fifth place.
In the 32nd minute, Crystal Palace took the lead with Jordan Ayew. Man Utd had the chance to equalize in the 70th minute, but Marcus Rashford followed in the footsteps of Paul Pogba and also missed an 11m penalty - the ball hit the crossbar.
However, pushing their opponents in the end of the match, Man Utd's eleven managed to level the score in the 89th minute. Daniel James made a great strike.
It seemed that Man Utd could still save themselves and fight for all three points, but in the added time, the hosts faltered themselves - on a quick attack, Patrick van Aanholt sent the ball into Man Utd's team goal past David De Gea's shoulders. The visitors from London won with a score of 2:1.
Three teams also added three points to their tally - West Ham, Leicester, and Southampton. In their matches, they defeated Watford, Sheffield Utd, and Brighton.
